We invite you to a post-screening talk by Klaus Buchenau, Professor of Southeastern and Eastern European History at the University of Regensburg, Germany:
“Putin’s Russia discovers World War One: Some remarks on the significance of Andrei Kravchuk’s Admiral (2008).”
The talk will take place after the film, which starts at 5:00pm in McKnight Hall, UNC Charlotte Main Campus.
Klaus Buchenau is a Specialist in Balkan and Eastern European History (19th-21st centuries) with experience in journalism and field work. He has worked in Ex-Yugoslavia, Russia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Mexico, and the United States. He was a Humboldt fellow in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Saratov in 2006-08.
