Summary:
The Man Who Copied tells the story of André, a relatively poor guy who lives in south Brazil that falls in love with Sílvia, a neighbor whom he spies everyday with a a pair of binoculars. He works as a photocopy machine operator in a convenience store and he earns a very low salary. In order to get closer to her, he starts making copies of bills to have some money to ask her out. However, things begin to go wrong when he decides that counterfeiting is not the only way to make money. This film shows a marginalized side of Brazilian culture and society and makes the audience wonder who is the real villain in this hierarchical system.
