On July 4, 1976, five members of the Pallottine Catholic religious community where assassinated by members of an armed forces death squad at their residence in St. Patrick’s Church in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The crime was covered up for decades and no one has been punished for it to date. Carlos Salum was a member of the parish, knew the five martyrs and decided to write a play about their lives death which was produced in Buenos Aires in 1996 as well as London in 1997. Together with writer Gabriel Seisdedos, he produced a TV Documentary in 1998 (“The Honor of God”) shown in Tampa, New York, Boston, and Buenos Aires. Salum will share the history of the massacre, its historical background, and the lessons learned that apply to life in a Democratic society.
